Tropico 5 & Blitzkrieg 3 Will Be Released For Linux

Tropico 5 was announced yesterday as the latest in a 12-year-old game franchise of this island maker game. What makes Tropico 5 really exciting is that when released in 2014 this construction/management simulation game will have native Linux support. The Blitzkrieg 3 World War II game is also being ported to Linux.

Here's the announcement for Tropico 5. "Penultimo, the greatest communicator of all time, is pleased to announce that the votes have been counted and verified and we are proud to confirm that the glorious El Presidente will return for a fifth term in power on the island paradise of Tropico! Yes that’s right, Kalypso Media is delighted to announce that Tropico 5, the next instalment of the highly anticipated and critically acclaimed Tropico city-builder series, is currently in development at Haemimont Studios and is slated for a 2014 release. Kalypso will release Tropico 5 on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Windows PC, Mac and Linux."

At the same time as writing in about Tropico 5, "RussianNeuroMancer" also shared that Blitzkrieg 3 is coming to Linux. Blitzkrieg is a World War II game now up to its third major release in the past decade.
