Git 1.8.4 Ships Many New Features, Improvements

Git 1.8.4 has been released to end out the week by shipping many new features, fixes, and improvements for this open-source version control system.

Among the highlights in Git 1.8.4 is an update of the Cygwin port for Cygwin 1.7, updating Git-GUI to its 0.18 release, new Git sub-commands, new tutorials, performance improvements, and many fixes.
