The GNOME developers announced a few days ago the immediate availability for download and testing of the first Beta release of the upcoming Gnote 3.10 application.

Gnote 3.9.3 lets users protect notes by implementing the ReadOnly add-on, it brings the Special Notes notebook add-on, and the BOOST_FOREACH and boost::lexical_cast dependencies are not used if C++11 is supported.

Among the bugs fixes we can mention that a new note windows will not be opened if it's already open, lock-up is now avoided, the notes list result is now updated when getting back, and missing Active Notes notebook icon was added.

The following translations have been updated in this development release of Gnote: Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Lithuanian, Polish, Slovenian, as well as the Simplified Chinese and German manuals. More details can be found in the official raw changelog.

Download Gnote 3.9.3 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
