A few minutes ago, September 14, Greg Kroah-Hartman announced that the first maintenance release for the 3.11 LTS branch of the Linux kernel is now available for download.

Except from a x86 fix and two sound enhancements, Linux kernel 3.11.1 introduces only updated drivers, including USB, hwmon, and iSCSI.

"I'm announcing the release of the 3.11.1 kernel. All users of the 3.11 kernel series must upgrade."

"The updated 3.11.y git tree can be found at: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git linux-3.11.y and can be browsed at the normal kernel.org git web browser: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git;a=summary," Greg Kroah-Hartman said in the official release announcement.

Download Linux kernel 3.11.1 right now from Softpedia. We remind everyone that Linux kernels 3.10.12, 3.4.62 and 3.0.96LTS are also available for download on Softpedia.
