Today, October 1, 2013, the Arch Linux developers unveiled the monthly ISO image of their powerful and popular operating system, Arch Linux 2013.10.01.

Just like any other Arch Linux release, the Arch Linux 2013.10.01 ISO image contains a new kernel, new/updated packages, as well as numerous improvements and bugfixes, ready for those who want to install Arch Linux on new computers.

Arch Linux 2013.10.01 uses Linux kernel 3.11 (3.11.2 is the actual version) and includes all the updates that were released during the past month, September 2013.

Existing Arch Linux users don’t need to download this new ISO image of Arch Linux, as it is intended only for new installations. You can always keep your healthy Arch Linux installation up-to-date using the sudo pacman -Syu command.

Arch Linux 2013.10.01 is distributed as a dual architecture ISO image, supporting both 64-bit and 32-bit platforms. Download Arch Linux 2013.10.01 right now from Softpedia.
