Xfce's Xfdesktop component that serves as the desktop manager for the lightweight GTK-based desktop environment has seen a new release.

While Xfce 4.12 remains missing, Xfdesktop 4.11.1 was released as the manager's latest version. Xfdesktop 4.11.1 isn't overly exciting but there are fixes and other minor improvements. Some of the work includes drawing/graphics fixes, killing off memory leaks, updated translations, support for renaming multiple icons, support for migrating backdrop settings from previous versions, backdrop cycle options, default setting fixes, and an assortment of other work.

More details on the Xfdesktop 4.11.1 changes can be found via the Git release tag.
