Wine 1.7.10 is out this Friday as the first bi-weekly development release of 2014.

While recent Wine development releases have been light on changes, the Wine 1.7.10 release is a bit more interesting. Wine 1.7.10 has an initial AVI compressor implementation, Thread Local Storage (TLS) support in dynamically loaded libraries, and the start of a task scheduler implementation. There's also extended IPS protocol support and 48 recorded bug-fixes over the past two weeks.

More details on this latest bi-weekly Wine development release for running Windows programs on Linux, OS X, and other platforms can be found via the 1.7.10 release announcement at WineHQ.org.
