Dconf, a low-level configuration system whose main purpose is to provide a backend to GSettings on platforms that do not already have configuration storage systems, has reached version 0.19.3 with assorted bugfixes and new features.

Dconf 0.19.3 introduces various improvements in the test coverage area, adds a proper DCONF_ERROR error domain, suppresses the GLib deprecation warnings during the build process, correctly handles writability changes in GSettings, displays warnings about missing files only once per source, and links to -ldl only if it is required.

Moreover, Dconf 0.19.3 adds support for “file-db” to profiles, adds support for finding profiles in XDG_DATA_DIRS when they are not available in /etc, adds a section separator to the App Menu for flexibility, and adds the “dconf compile” command for easily building dconf databases from keyfiles in random locations.

Download Dconf 0.19.3 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
