Hyper Light Drifter is the fantastic looking 2D action RPG that got funded via Kickstarter, in the announcement of it coming to Playstation devices as well as Linux there is some great new footage.

It is of course coming to Linux if you didn't know already, so without further ado here's the footage:

This looks like just my type of game. Somehow it seems to me as though if there had been a Phantasy Star based action RPG, this is what it would have been like. Visuals are reminiscent of 16 bit era games, but clearly better (or perhaps of Legend of Oasis, a 32 bit game). The action looks like some of the better overhead action/RPG games, but with some new twists. I'm looking forward to this.
