The day has finally come goat fans, as Goat Simulator now has an open beta on Steam for Linux gamers to get in on one of the funniest games around.

QuoteHey goats!

We've just set a public beta live of the coming Mac and Linux-versions of Goat Simulator. The beta can be accessed by from your Macgoing library/GoatSimulator/properties, select the "betas"-tab and then select the "portbeta" under the drop down menu.

Help us find and squash the last bugs! Be aware that this is a beta, so expect crashes and issues. The more you find, the faster we can fix them though :)

If things go smoothly and there's no real show-stoppers found, we expect to be able to set this live for real shortly!

Please post any found issues in this thread or on Icculus bugzilla (icculus is the guy doing the ports).

Best
Anton

The game as the name might suggest isn't even remotely serious and don't expect it to be, but it is however hilarious!

Check it out on Steam.

I often wonder what is the point of a game like that...

The answer is there:Steam Achievements...

Just try to complete all the challenges... in multiplayer...

Apparently, there are plenty of Easter Eggs in the game as well.

The point is that there is no point...

it's a parody of all those simulator games that were coming out

Steam only unfortunately, even in the Humble Store.

Seems like a party game to me, where you drink a bit and laugh at each other doing ridiculous stuff with a goat.

Your average Friday night in some places, just it's a video game now.
