Even if it was officially announced last week, we think that it is very important to mention here that a brand new Arch Linux ISO image is now available for download from the usual places, even though it was expected on the first day of July.

Another month has passed and another updated ISO image of the lightweight and powerful Arch Linux operating system has been cooked by the distro’s developers, especially designed for users who want to install a fresh copy of the OS.

This updated ISO of Arch Linux is powered by Linux kernel 3.15.3 and includes all the updated applications and utilities that were released during the past month.

Existing Arch Linux users should keep in mind that this is a rolling-release operating system, which means that they don’t have to download a new ISO image to keep their systems up-to-date, just use the sudo pacman -Syu command in a terminal window. New Arch Linux ISO images are intended only for those of you who want to install a fresh copy of Arch Linux.

As usual, Arch Linux is distributed as a dual-arch ISO image that supports both 32-bit (i386) and 64-bit (x86_64) hardware platforms. Download Arch Linux 2014.07.03 right now from Softpedia.
