The LXDE Spin of the Fedora Linux distribution is the last in our screenshot tours for the Alpha release of the upcoming Fedora 22 computer operating system based on the Linux kernel and various other open-source technologies.

Last week, we’ve published screenshot tours of Fedora 22 Alpha KDE Spin, Fedora 22 Alpha Xfce Spin, Fedora 22 Alpha MATE/Compiz Spin, as well as as Fedora 22 Alpha Live Workstation, which uses the GNOME 3 desktop environment. Today, we took the Fedora 22 Alpha LXDE edition for a test drive.

During our tests, we’ve generated an in-depth screenshot tour that you can see in the gallery at the end of the article. We can report that Fedora 22 Alpha LXDE Spin is powered by Linux kernel 4.0 Release Candidate 1, just like all the other Fedora 22 Alpha editions.

Among the pre-installed software packages, we can mention Midori 0.5.9 web browser, Yum Extender 3.0.16, Pidgin 2.10.11 instant messenger with support for multiple protocols, AbiWord 3.0.1 word processor, Gnumeric 1.12.20 spreadsheet editor, Asunder 2.5 Audio-CD ripper, and GnomeBaker 0.6.4 CD/DVD burning software.

Download Fedora 22 Alpha LXDE right now Softpedia. The distribution is available for download for free as Live DVD ISO images supporting both 64 and 32-bit computer platforms. Please keep in mind that it is an unstable operating system that should not be installed on production machines.
