We reported earlier this week that the developers of the Chapeau Linux distro based on the well-known Fedora operating system are hard at work preparing to unleash the next major version of the distribution, Chapeau 22, based on Fedora 22.

Every time a new release is out, old ones must die to make room for the new packages in the main software repositories. As such, Chapeau devs have just announced that the Chapeau 20 release will reach the end-of-life (EOL) support next month, on June 23, 2015.

"Hello all Chapeau 20 users, prepare to upgrade as the end of life date for Chapeau 20 (Moser) is now confirmed as June 23rd 2015," says Vince Pooley, Chapeau founder. "After this date no new packages or updates from the Fedora or Chapeau projects will be released for Chapeau 20."

As such, we are informing all Chapeau 20 users that they will have to upgrade to the current stable version of the distribution, Chapeau 21, as soon as possible by following the official upgrade instructions provided the devs.

Chapeau 22 will be released later this month and it will be based on the recently released Fedora 22 operating system. Stay close as we will keep you up to date with the latest Chapeau developments in the coming weeks.
