Dell is making sure that everyone knows that they are selling Ubuntu-powered laptops, and the company is now promoting them on Twitter, with a limited offer for the new Inspiron 14 3000 Series.

Dell has recently announced that the Inspiron 14 3000 Series is now available for purchase. The new laptops were available at a rather small price already, but now Dell is slashing their cost some more, offering the difference in price as a voucher for other purchases. This means that the laptop now costs $199 (176), if you take the $20 voucher into consideration. The company is really making a push with this new laptop, which is one of the cheapest available on the market right now.

Dell and Canonical have a long-standing relationship, but the former seems to give the Linux platform much more attention than it used to. We've seen quite a few new products from Dell with Ubuntu on board, including two new laptops and an IoT gateway. The number of devices powered by Ubuntu in their catalog is much bigger than this, though, so you can expect to find many more on their website.

Inspiron 14 3000 Series Non-Touch is now even cheaper

Inspiron 14 3000 comes with an Intel Celeron N2840 CPU (1M Cache, up to 2.58 GHz), 2GB DDR3L 1600MHz (2GBx1), a 500GB (5400RPM) hard drive, a 14.0-inch HD (1366 x 768) Truelife LED-Backlit display, and a 40 WHr, 4-cell battery. At the Security Software category, Dell says "No Anti-virus Required," which is a nice touch.

"Get exactly what you want with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, the popular OS including Google Chrome browser, 5 years of free security and maintenance updates. The Dell Inspiron 14 3000 Series Laptop is equipped with the latest processors from Intel, with responsive performance for all your tasks from surfing the web, writing a term paper, editing video or doing web chats.  Amazing graphics, office productivity, firewall encryption and anti-virus are included in this attractive and highly configurable laptop. You’ll also enjoy managing your digital library with a great selection ports and media card reader formats," reads the official website.

It's not clear for how long the Dell offer will stand so hurry up if you want to take advantage of it. Enjoy!
