There is no sign that a major Valve launch is happening

November will be a very crowded month, and a lot of high-profile games are scheduled to launch, but it looks like the community forgot one of the biggest launches of all, the Steam Machines from Valve.

With all the excitement about November, the community forgot about the upcoming launch of the Steam Machines, but Valve is also to blame. The company hasn’t said anything in a long while, and it doesn’t seem to have any kind of marketing campaign in place.

All the games that are coming out in November have ample marketing campaigns, with trailers, “leaks,” and communities talking about them. There is nothing on Valve's front, with the exception of a few reviews for the Steam Controllers that started shipping out a couple of weeks ago.

What does Valve want from the Steam Machines?

The chosen date for the release of the Steam Machines consoles powered by SteamOS is November 10, and it now looks like it’s been a really bad choice. The market is inundated by other events, and to top it all off, Fallout 4 is also being released on the same day.

The same 13 Steam Machines from various companies like Alienware and Zotac are being advertised, and the new hardware is not even featured on the top of the main page, with less than a week from the official release.

It’s difficult to understand what the marketing vehicle is, but it’s easy to suspect that Valve has nothing planned, maybe with the exception of a special sale.

As it stands right now, there is no reason to believe that the Steam Machines launch will be marked by a special event, and it’s hard to imagine that these new consoles supposed to take over the living room will have the desired impact.

You can find more details about the available Steam Machines on the official website, but it’s nothing that you haven’t seen before.
