After more than a year in the making, the MakuluLinux 10 Xfce Edition is now live and available for download for those who want to try out something different, something fresh.

MakuluLinux 10 Xfce Edition is a computer operating system based on the popular Ubuntu Linux distribution and built on top of the lightweight Xfce desktop environment, which has been highly customized to look modern and user-friendly. According to the project's developers, the Xfce edition of MakuluLinux 10 sports some unique features that will most certainly appeal to the Linux community.

"More than 12 months in the making, Makulu 10 Xfce does not disappoint. The focus on this build was specific, stability, speed, social integration, key features that really make it unique and noticeable," says Jacque Montague Raymer, MakuluLinux founder. "Some core elements and standardized traditional elements were kept in this edition, however, some new features were also introduced."

What's new in MakuluLinux 10 Xfce Edition

Prominent features of MakuluLinux 10 Xfce Edition include integration with some of the most popular social networks, including Twitter and Facebook, out-of-the-box support for numerous hardware platforms and components, over 350 languages pre-installed, most commonly used software pre-installed, as well as a bunch of desktop themes and icons so that you don't get bored.

Being based on the Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) operating system, MakuluLinux 10 Xfce Edition includes support for PPAs (Personal Package Archives) specific to the Trusty Tahr platform, so you can install any software development for Ubuntu Linux.
