The Debian community is preparing yet another awesome event for the of spring 2016, where you can meet new people, share knowledge, relax, plan cool features for the Debian GNU/Linux operating system, and have a good time while at it.

Now that we've informed our dedicated Debian readers about the upcoming DebConf17 event, the 18th annual Debian conference for developers and contributors, which will take place in the city of Montréal, Canada, sometime around the date of August 15, it's time for another one.

Only that this one is not a conference, it is more like a DIY (Do It Yourself) DebCamp, where any Debian user can attend to meet his or hers Debian buddies, work on new projects by the swimming pool, discuss ideas, and plan upcoming features for the project used by millions of people around the globe.

"If this sounds tempting, then come to Debian SunCamp 2016, a 4 day hacking and socializing event for Debian people," says Martín Ferrari. "We provide the space, anything else is up to you! There will be no talks programme, but if you want to prepare a talk you can do that too, it's DIY!"

When? The Debian SunCamp 2016 event is currently scheduled for the end of spring 2016, between May 26 and 29, 2016. Where? It will be held at Hotel Anabel, LLoret de Mar, Province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain, Europe. Any other details you need to know can be found on the announcement page. Have fun!
