14 DAY TRIAL // Softpedia has been informed today, April 26, 2016, by Vivaldi about the immediate availability for download of the first point release of the Vivaldi 1.0 web browser for all supported platforms.
Yes, we're talking about Vivaldi 1.1, which has been in development for the past month. During this time, it received a total of three RC (Release Candidate) builds that fixed most of the bugs and annoyances reported by Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows users since the release of Vivaldi 1.0 back at the beginning of April 2016.
We have to say that we've been kept informed all along the way by Ruarí Ødegaard, Linux QA and Testing at Vivaldi, about the development cycle of the Vivaldi 1.1 web browser. As for the latter, it has been rebased on the open-source Chromium 50 project and includes some cool new features that have been requested by the community lately.

What's new in Vivaldi 1.1
Release highlights of Vivaldi 1.1 include the addition of more options to tab handling, such as the ability to select the opening behavior on either stacked or cloned tabs, or to close all other tabs by holding the Alt key and clicking on the tab close button. There are also better adjusting of the tab activation options upon closing a tab, improvements to tab hibernation, and support for importing Speed Dials from Opera 12.
