Collabora's Emil Velikov has just announced today, May 9, the immediate availability for download of the second maintenance release in the latest stable series of the Mesa 3D Graphics Library.

Mesa 3D 11.2.2 is now the most advanced version of the graphical library used by default in numerous GNU/Linux operating systems for providing an open-source implementation of the OpenGL specification, containing video drivers for Nvidia, Intel, and AMD graphics cards. The new release introduces various small improvements and bug fixes.

For example, the Radeon graphics driver got Big Endian support, the libEGL library has been updated to work under OpenBSD operating systems, the libGL library received assorted DRI2 and DRI3 bug fixes, there are multiple small improvements to the Intel i965, Nouveau, and VC4 graphics drivers, EGL 1.5-style flags are now accepted by DRI modules, and it looks like MangledGL GetProcAddress finally works as expected.

"With this release we have DRI2/DRI3 fixes for libGL, libEGL now works for OpenBSD platforms, Big Endian support for Radeon has improved, and the i965, Nouveau and VC4 drivers have gained misc fixes. MangledGL GetProcAddress works correctly and the DRI modules now accept EGL 1.5 style robustness flag/bit," reads today's announcement.
