The team of developers behind the Red Hat Enterprise Linux-based Baruwa Enterprise Edition commercial operating system, popularly known as BaruwaOS, has announced the general availability of BaruwaOS 6.8.

Based on the freely distributed source code of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.8 release, BaruwaOS 6.8 arrives today, June 13, 2016, with support for the popular Let's Encrypt free and open certificate authority to protect your domains with an HTTPS (Secure HTTP) address, thanks to the implementation of the ACME client protocol.

Also new in BaruwaOS 6.8 is support for DMARC (Domain Message Authentication Reporting & Conformance) reporting, allowing customers to send both aggregate and forensic reports. Then, there are the ability to set up delivery servers, which are also known as fallback servers, and support for configuring dedicated IP addresses for fallback and delivery servers, as well as domains.

"The above comes in handy when you want to separate traffic flows in a multi-customer hosted environment such that one customer's reputation does not affect other customer's reputation," reads the official release notes of the Baruwa Enterprise Edition 6.8 operating system.

BaruwaOS 6.8 updates numerous core components

In addition to the new features mentioned above, BaruwaOS 6.8 will let customers use a random IP address from a pool of IP addresses for outbound SMTP connection. It will also allow them to dump all the e-mail that was sent to a domain, but only if it wasn't delivered to the delivery servers, as well as to enforce the use of Transport Layer Security (TLS) connections for domains and hosts.

The Content Protection System (CPS) and After SMTP Anti Virus checking system have been updated as well in BaruwaOS 6.8 to inform users why a certain message was blocked or rejected. Last but not least, numerous core components have been updated to their latest versions from the repositories of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7 operating system.

Baruwa Enterprise Edition 6.8 is available for purchase starting today, where it is distributed as installable ISO images for 64-bit and 32-bit hardware architectures, as a 30-day trial. The good news is that existing BaruwaOS users using version 2.0.7 or later can upgrade their installations to BaruwaOS 6.8 via the baruwa-setup command-line utility.
