Today, September 28, 2016, GNU/Linux developer Arne Exton informs us about the availability of a new version of his EXTON MultiBootCD 6-OS project, a Live CD that includes six tiny GNU/Linux distributions.

There aren't any major changes since the last release of EXTON MultiBootCD 6-OS, but it looks like the new build updates most of the distributions included in the Live ISO image to their latest versions. For example, you'll find Tiny Core Linux 7.2, Gparted 0.26.1-5, SliTaz 5.0, and 4MLinux 19.0.

Latest PuppEX Slack64 and Porteus distros are also present

In addition to the tiny GNU/Linux operating systems mentioned above, today's EXTON MultiBootCD 6-OS release also includes the latest PuppEX Slack64, a Puppy Linux Slacko derivative that's also developed by Arne Exton, as well as Porteus Linux, which, unfortunately, can't be run in a VirtualBox-based virtual machine.

If you're wondering what you can do with EXTON MultiBootCD 6-OS, the developer reminds us that it's the perfect tool for those who want to try any of the Linux-based operating systems mentioned above and don't want to download six ISO images and write each one to USB flash drives or CD discs.

"Anyone who is slightly interested in Linux and want to see how far the development of the most famous mini Linux systems have reached should try it. Easy then to test the current systems on the CD (DVD) live to find out which one suits you (and your computer) best," says Arne Exton in today's announcement.

EXTON MultiBootCD 6-OS is available for download right now via our website, and if you are curious to know more about each of the included GNU/Linux distributions, we recommend checking out the project's homepage. EXTON MultiBootCD 6-OS should boot well on both 32- and 64-bit computers.
