Logic Supply informs Softpedia about a recent case study they're doing featuring drone control specialists Desert Rotor, a drone controller company that uses their ML100 industrial PC for its next-gen UAV control system.

First, we'd like to inform the reader that Logic Supply is the leading industrial and embedded computer hardware manufacturer. The company is known for creating some of the most powerful industrial products, from mini and rugged panel PCs and thin client computers to dust-resistant, fanless, and ventless units that can be used in virtualization and IoT (Internet of Things) markets, or other applications.

On the other hand, Desert Rotor is known for creating innovative, simplified and profitable ground control systems for drones, which are usually called unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) among specialists. Their drone controllers are designed for all sorts of markets, including search and rescue operations, agricultural, law enforcement, movie production companies, aerial inspections, civil engineers, etc.

"In the last few years the drone industry has grown by leaps and bounds, with UAVs being deployed to assist with everything from land surveys, to search and rescue, and even the occasional burrito delivery," says Darek Fanton, Marketing, Logic Supply. "Every drone needs a reliable control system, and today’s commercial drones require something far more complex than your standard R/C remote."

Logic Supply worked recently with Debin Ray, the Managing Director at Desert Rotor, on a profile of the company, as well as a Q&A about the drone industry and the new Mantis 12PCX UAV control system that uses the ML100G-10 fanless industrial NUC (Next Unit of Computing) from Logic Supply. Therefore, we invite you to click the links above and read the interview and all the details about the new drone controller.
