Linux Kernel 4.8.1 released

Just few minutes clocked, Linux Kernel 4.8.1 got release announcement. Greg Kh has announced the release of the point fix update for the Linux Kernel 4.8, i.e. Linux Kernel 4.8.1.

As Most of us are well aware that Linux Kernel 4.8, released just few days ago on 2nd Oct, the latest and stable kernel had some bug inclusion and it almost killed the kernel. It was the trending news on every Linux news blogs, websites and discussion on various Forums as well.

Anyway, after all the controversies, everyone was waiting for the point fix update and in no big time, Linux Kernel 4.8.1 made its way to quick release. You may also check: Linux Kernel 4.4.24 and Linux Kernel 4.7.7 released
According to the official announcement by Greg Kh, there are 10 files changed, 57 insertions and 27 deletions. Phew! Not a very big change in numbers but major & sensitive changes are there for sure.

As announced by Greg Kh:
 I'm announcing the release of the 4.8.1 kernel.

All users of the 4.8 kernel series must upgrade.
