The Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 3 mobil workstation is now available to buy with the option to have it pre-installed with the Fedora Linux operating system.
As you probably already know, Lenovo and Fedora Project announced last year a collaboration to support as many Lenovo ThinkPad laptops and workstations with the Fedora Linux operating system. The initial offering included the ThinkPad P1 Gen2, ThinkPad P53, and ThinkPad X1 Gen8.
As of today, the ThinkPad P1 Gen 3 laptop is included as well in the Fedora partnership program, and you can buy the ultra-thin, stylish, and powerful mobile workstation with Fedora Linux 33 right now from Lenovo’s online store starting at $1,594.42 USD.
The ThinkPad P1 Gen 3 with Fedora Linux features a rugged, light carbon fiber design with several 15.6-inch display options that include FullHD (1920×1080) IPS anti-glare with 300 nits, FullHD (1920×1080) IPS anti-glare with Dolby Vision HDR and 500 nits, UHD (3840×2160) LCD IPS anti-glare with Dolby Vision HDR and 600 nits, or UHD (3840×2160) OLED touchscreen with Dolby Vision HDR True Black and 400 nits.
Under the hood, the Linux laptop is powered by 10th Generation Intel Core i7-10750H, 10850H, or 10875H, Intel Core i9-10885H, or Intel Xeon W-10855M with vPro processors, up to 64 GB DDR4 2933MHz RAM, up to 4 TB NVMe PCIe SSD storage, and either NVIDIA Quadro T1000 or T2000 with Max-Q 4GB VRAM graphics card.
Other features include Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 802.11ax wireless with vPro (2 x 2), Bluetooth 5.1, fingerprint reader, backlit and spill-resistant keyboard, 720p HD camera with privacy shutter, 4-cell Li-Polymer 80Wh batter, TPM2.0, an 135W charger with rapid charge technology, and Kensington lock.
