Anyone that watches the free software, open source and gnu/linux related news these days has easily been able to notice the increasing amounts of articles that spread fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) about free (as in freedom) software. Some are pretty obvious to people that know, others are more subtle. In order to help fight this dreadful trend we have to be able to identify and inform the wider public of such FUD. Thus, i present you the FUDZilla, a FUD blacklisting project at libervis.com.

FUDZilla enables you to easily submit links to any article that you consider to be spreading FUD, lies and deceptions about FOSS (Free Open Source Software) thus directly attacking the reputability of free software and GNU/Linux among those who may be easy to decieve. You are encouraged to provide an explanation of why do you consider the article you are reporting to be a FUD so that other people may know and be aware of it.

Year 2005 started pretty harsh. The amounts of FUD are rapidly increasing from multiple sources. Some are even so subtle and hard to recognize even from within the very free software and open source community. This truly calls for greater care and awareness about the news that are served to us every day so that we may avoid falling into the trap of deception which helps smuthering the further growth and evolution of free software community. We must keep our eyes open to be able to detect and then counteract, respond to, FUD "propaganda".

Collectively blacklisting such content may prove to be an effective way to both raise awareness about it and counteract it. Your FUD reports to our FUDZilla are therefore welcome and appreciated.
