Ubuntu Kung Fu is a new book by Keir Thomas available in PDF and Print format from the Pragmatic Programmers. The book promises over 300 tips, tricks, hints, and hacks for users of Ubuntu Gnu/Linux.

As usual for titles from Pragmatic, the book is currently available in a beta version as a PDF. If the print version is ordered, it will be shipped when published. Purchasers of the PDF version get regular updates during the Beta process as well as updates after publication.

The table of contents and a few tips and tricks are currently available for free review.

The tips seem to be a collection that are useful for Linux in general as well as Ubuntu specific, and is geared towards the current 8.10 release. There is a flood of Ubuntu centered books on the market, but the Beta process at the Pragmatic programmers allows regular readers to contribute to the editing and bug squashing process before final publication.
