Linux developers should stop copying Microsoft and start looking at Apple

"To the degree that Linux on the traditional desktop succeeds, it will need to approach the Apple Mac in usability and attract more graphic designers for design"

In other words, according to IBM executive Bob Sutor, Linux application developers need to stop cloning Windows and start copying Apple stuff. I guess he has a point, if we are talking UI here. But surely it would be better to create something that was, well, uniquely Linux?
