"After over a year sense the last release of JULinux (2011-06) A New Release is Born, and It's Awesome ! This Distribution Release is JULinux ETPE and it takes all the compatibility, and software sources of Ubuntu, and leaves behind the resource hungry interface, and adds it's traditional JULinuXP interface welcoming Windows Users to Just Use Linux. ETPE stands for Emergency Tactical Prepper Edition. The idea behind the release name, is that with this one Live / Install DVD you will have all the packages and programs you need in an emergency, just in case there is no internet. There is also an optional tar.gz package that contains all the info you would need (that you won't be able to access on the internet) including CIA, Army, Medical, and other PDF files you would be searching for. It's a Prepper's dream. Remember with other systems you have to activate your software over the internet or phone, and if there is no internet or phone, how do you install and activate your software ?

The JULinux community is looking into dot matrix printing technology that allows users to make their own printer ink out of things found in nature.
