Black Lab Linux Releases 32-bit Edition of Their KDE-Based Distro

In a world where everyone tries to drop 32-bit support for their OSes, Black Lab Linux developers have announced on Twitter that they’ve released a 32-bit version of their KDE-based distribution in order to support installations of the Black Lab Linux KDE Edition 6.0 SR1 operating system on low-end computers or machines with old/semi-old hardware components.

Until now, Black Lab Linux was only distributed as 64-bit images. We’ve downloaded the brand-new 32-bit image in order to compare it with the existing 64-bit edition. Both are based on the Kubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) computer operating system and built around the beautifully designed KDE Applications 4.14.2 graphical desktop environment. We have to admit that we did not expect to find any differences, as we really like how the 64-bit flavor is designed. Full Story |
