About a week ago the Kali Linux (live) distribution version 2.0 was released, now Offensive Security – the company behind Kali Linux – has published so-called Docker images of Kali Linux 2.0, which lets you run it on any platform.

Kali Linux (former Backtrack Linux) is designed for digital forensics and penetration testing and is maintained and funded by Offensive Security Ltd.

Kali Linux Docker images consists of a minimal base of the Linux kernel-based operating system. So you will be able to run Kali Linux on other operating systems/platforms like Azure, Mac OS X, Windows, CentOS, Gentoo and Ubuntu.
