AMD Catalyst 15.9 Linux Driver Adds Counter-Strike: GO and Dota 2 Improvements

AMD has just announced a few minutes ago the release and immediate availability for download of the AMD Catalyst 15.9 proprietary graphics driver for GNU/Linux operating systems.

Among the most important changes, we can mention installation improvements on the Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS (Trusty Tahr) operating system, better support for the latest X.Org and X.Org Server software when the AMD Catalyst installer attempts to remove the EGL links, and the ability to switch the desktop mode after installing the driver.

Several well-known games received all sorts of performance improvements in AMD Catalyst 15.9. For example, Company of Heroes 2 no longer crashes when running the performance test, a Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor corruption has been fixed, and a corruption and a crash in DIRT Showdown were addressed.
