AVG Revamps Privacy Policy in Freemium Antivirus and Security Products

AVG's antivirus and security products for Windows, Mac, Android, Linux and FreeBSD systems will begin collecting personal information Oct. 15, when a new privacy policy takes effect.

AVG's popular line of free antivirus and security products—which is also one of the only big-name suites that supports Linux and FreeBSD as well as Windows, Mac and Android—is set to become less privacy-friendly next month, when a new policy on customer information will take effect.
