Data security is the most concerning thing in the modern age, but would you destroy your machine just to keep data safe, many companies are popping up thinking you will.

Several USB devices are making it to market with the simple goal of destroying your laptop / computer. Usually they are a USB device containing several capacitors, they charge when plugged in and when full, release that charge back into your device, shorting the motherboard and connected devices.

The idea of these usb keys, is that if you are in a situation where someone is going to physically steal your device, and you have the time to destroy it, then use this usb key to do so. I don't see much of a market here except an over the top and rather costly prank.
