HP Linux Imaging and Printing Driver Update with Support for Ubuntu 15.10

HP announced a new release of its open source and freely distributed HPLIP (HP Linux Imaging and Printing) driver for GNU/Linux operating systems.

HPLIP 3.5.11 adds support for the newly released Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf), Fedora 23, and openSUSE Leap 42.1 GNU/Linux operating system. It also includes support for custom AppArmor profiles and SELinux Policy, along with support for automatic discovery of network scanners. A new knowledge base article has been added as well, and includes information about unblocking ports and enabling mDNS and SLP services through the openSUSE Firewall tool.
