Audio when working can be an important factor when it comes to productivity and focus. Heres a clever little tool so you can get the best from your music.

Now, at Christmas I was given a pair of earphones which I now use at work, and found that I missed the bass of my old headset, so rather than discard the earphones I have been given, I looked into making the sound better on these.

After a quick search I found a Pulse Audio Equalizer, which does a fairly good job and comes with a list of simple presets.

Installation

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install pulseaudio-equalizer

Once installed, you have access to tweak 15 band equalizer UI for Pulse Audio, its a very simple interface and I had the exact settings needed within 5 seconds, and thats without ever seeing the UI before.
