Suman Chakravartula informs us about the availability for download of a new version of his Rockstor 3.8 Linux-based NAS (Network-attached storage) solution, version 3.8-13.

Prominent new features in Rockstor 3.8-13 include support for user-supplied custom S.M.A.R.T parameters, support for Network Teaming and Bonding, revamped Services page, the ability to sort services by status in the user interface, better storage unmount logic, as well as improvements to the tooltips.

When installing Rockstor without network, users are now advised to use nmtui, update of Rock-on metadata is now allowed during installation failures, an optional SMTP authentication has been added to the e-mail notification setup, and it looks like adding storage to Rock-ons just become a lot more intuitive for newcomers.
