Based on the stable Majaro Linux software repositories, the Manjaro Linux LXQt 16.04 Dark Edition distribution is powered by the long-term supported Linux 4.4.8 kernel and includes up-to-date software packages and popular applications, such as PCManFM-Qt file manager, LXImage-Qt image viewer, and Transmission-Qt BitTorrent client.

Moreover, the distro ships with the Mozilla Firefox web browser, Gnumeric spreadsheet editor, JuffEd advanced text editor, PulseAudio sound server, the popular Plank dock, GIMP image editor, SDDM login manager, Plymouth boot splash manager, Octopi Qt-based graphical package manager, HexChat IRC client, and AbiWord word processor.
