A new stable version of the cross-platform and open-source Qt Creator IDE (Integrated Development Environment) software has been released recently for all supported platforms.

Release highlights include two new themes, namely Flat Light and Flat Dark, which you can see in action if you access the gallery at the end of the story or here on your right. To make application development even more eye-candy, Qt Creator 4.1 adds new editor color schemes that users can activate in the Text Editor -> Fonts & Colors settings. Talking about editors, Qt Creator's built-in text editor receives improvements to automatic inserting and skipping of characters, as well as of quotes and brackets.
