Who will be the last man to promote open-source programs here _ the No. 1 enemy of Windows operating system of Microsoft Korea? The answer may be the president or ex-presidents of the firm. But such an implausible thing is now happening in this country as a former president of Microsoft Korea is leading the government initiative to boost open-source programs in place of Windows. Ko Hyun-jin, president of the government-sponsored Korea IT Industry Promotion Agency (KIPA), is the man who is making the hard-to-believe story.
