Taiwan executive's duties expand as Greater China Country Manager.

Reno, NV (PRWEB) September 27, 2005 -- PC-Doctor Inc., (www.pc-doctor.com), the global leader in reducing PC supplier costs through diagnostic and system information solutions, today announced the opening of its first office in Beijing to serve emerging requirements of PC manufacturers and other customers in the People's Republic of China.

The company also announced the appointment of Jeffrey Yeh as Greater China Country manager, responsible for PC-Doctor offices in both Beijing and Taipei. Yeh previously was the company's Taiwan country manager.

Opening of the Beijing office marks the third Asia-Pacific expansion in less than a year for PC-Doctor. "Many leading PC manufacturers have turned to the People's Republic of China for manufacturing operations to complement their presence in Taiwan and Japan," said Suzanna Mak, PC-Doctor's president and director of foreign operations. "For example, Beijing is global headquarters for Lenovo, a current customer and the world's third largest PC manufacturer since its acquisition of IBM's PC business earlier this year. Adding Beijing to our list of worldwide offices will help us serve local customer's needs."

PC-Doctor's Beijing office is located in the new Hyundai Building, which houses Microsoft and other top companies. The address is 1701-15 Hyundai Motor Tower, 38 Xiaoyun Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing 100027, People's Republic of China. The telephone number is 86-10-6410-8536.

Companies in the Asia-Pacific region manufacture more than 70 percent of the world's PCs, and an even higher percentage of PC components. PC-Doctor's software is used by many of the region's top companies -- including Lenovo, IBM, HP, Fujitsu, HCL Computing, USl, Quanta and Inventec -- to reduce warranty costs and out-of-box failures. Studies have demonstrated that use of PC-Doctor diagnostics typically reduces "no trouble found" and related warranty costs by an average of 50 percent.

"We have received intense interest across Greater China in how PC-Doctor products can help reduce costs, improve productivity and enhance quality," Yeh added. "The significant cost savings is particularly important in an industry where effective management of margins is essential to business success."

Before he joined PC-Doctor earlier this year, Yeh was sales director for a new brand line at Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. in Taiwan. In that role, he established the channel organization in the United States, Canada, Latin America, the Mideast, India, the Netherlands, Germany and France. He also was sales director at Albatron Technology Inc. in Taiwan where he successfully positioned the company's brand in Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, and led his team to surpass growth goals. In addition, Yeh has held senior sales and other positions at First International Computer Corp., Abit Computer Corp. in the United States and Europe, Lung Hwa Electronics Inc. and Parker Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd. Yeh holds both bachelor's and master's degrees from Armstrong University.

"In his short time with PC-Doctor, Jeffrey has made outstanding contributions to our success in the Asia-Pacific region," said Mak.
