DirecTV Contracts LG for MPEG-4 Set-Tops

LG Electronics' set-top boxes, which feature DirecTV's program guide, offer advanced security and protected digital outputs (HDMI/HDCP) with simultaneous component and composite output. The devices also utilize a general-purpose Linux operating system and USB port, the company said.
