Franco-chinese Open Source middleware planned

At the initiative of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, the national research institutes of France and China have signed a declaration of intent to promote Open Source middleware. The French Computer Science Institute INRIA will be working with the Chinese coordination center in the High-Tech Development and Research Program (HTRDP), also simply called Program 863. They will be representing the development consortia: France's ObjectWeb and China's Orientware.
