ODF: A Bang from Quinn and a Whimper from Corel

Things were pretty quiet last week on the OpenDocument Format front last week, but this week began with a bang. Here's an update on the latest news

Things had been pretty quiet on the OpenDocument Format (ODF) front for awhile, but things have now heated back up with both a bang and a whimper. The bang was an extremely candid, no holds barred interview that Peter Quinn gave to Pamela Jones at Groklaw. Here's a sample: "To be brutally frank, the instigators of much of this legislation are represented by the true bottom feeders in the Legislature, in my view. To have to bow and genuflect to their likes is not something I could ever do." The whimper was the confirmation that the newest version of Corel WordPerfect Office does not support ODF.
