Protecting non-technical users from the Linux file system tree and simplifying their ability to find and access their network, disks, drives, and documents is a primary concern. So too, is increasing their perception of knowing where they are at all times. A simplified method of achieving these goals on all GNU/Linux based systems is suggested in this article (w/screenshots).
