Adds Dozens of New Worldwide Partners in Q2

SAN MATEO, Calif., May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Zimbra, a leader in open source, next-generation collaboration and messaging software, today announced the worldwide expansion of its partner program, reflecting the rapidly growing international demand for its flagship Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS). The Zimbra partner program now includes dozens of Hosted Service Provider (HSP) and Internet Service Provider (ISP) partners in more than 10 countries, serving hundreds of thousands of on-demand mailboxes.

"Since launching our hosted partner program earlier this year, we've seen tremendous uptake worldwide -- through our partner network, we're reaching new users across the globe, including SMBs and remote international users that might not otherwise have had the chance to deploy Zimbra," said Satish Dharmaraj, Zimbra CEO and co-founder. "New hosting partners continue to join the program daily, demonstrating the global demand for hosted Zimbra."

"Zimbra Collaboration Suite meets all our needs -- it's easy to implement and administer for hundreds of thousands of users, and the end-user benefits, including the innovative webmail interface, make it a hugely popular with customers," said Nagib Mimassi, CEO of Orolix, an ISP based in Brazil.

In addition to being a leading on-premise next-generation collaboration solution, the ZCS was designed for service providers. Key benefits include:

-- Native support for multiple tenants on each server

-- Delegated administration capabilities for each customer

-- Rich Web 2.0/Ajax user interface for end-users

-- Support for asynchronous and offline modes for Microsoft Outlook

-- Support for a broad range of email clients and mobile devices

-- Strong Internet-based security (SSL/TLS for all protocols)

-- Extensibility via Zimlets and Web services for creating mash-ups

"Zimbra is fantastic -- the system is clearly designed for service providers, with its groundbreaking AJAX administrative interface, delegated administration capabilities, capacity for multiple domains per server, and class-of-service capabilities," said Rob Gilmour, CEO of RSAWeb, a hosting provider in South Africa.

Zimbra's new international partners include hosting providers RSAWeb (South Africa), Sitewards (Germany), Senokian (UK), and OnDeckTech (US), as well as ISP Orolix (Brazil) and video mail provider Razorstream (US).

"Zimbra is great for the international market -- customizable to meet the needs of varying customers and industries, and very fast and easy to deploy in different languages. This remarkably reduces our budget for the installation," said Marc Dassler, CTO of Sitewards, a hosted service provider based in Germany.
