Laszlo Systems to Present Two Sessions at This Month's OSCON 2006 Convention

applications WHAT: Will be the featured presenter in 2 sessions as well as the

exhibit hall at this month's O'Reilly Open Source (OSCON 2006)

Convention, taking place at the Oregon Convention Center. On the conference's opening day, Wednesday, July 26th, Laszlo

Systems' Chief Software Architect, Adam Wolff, will offer an

overview of the OpenLaszlo platform during "Case in Point:

OpenLaszlo and Open Source." His presentation will feature

insights into community adoption and contribution, the basics of

getting started, and case studies that depict how leading

companies are using and benefiting from OpenLaszlo. On Thursday, July 27th, Laszlo Systems' Founder and CTO, David

Temkin, will present "OpenLaszlo: No Flash Required!" during which

he'll detail OpenLaszlo's transition from a Flash-specific

development platform to one that provides developers with a choice

of Flash or DHTML. During his presentation, Temkin will

demonstrate how OpenLaszlo 4.0 enables developers to create DHTML

or Flash applications from a single source code base. The session

will also include a lively discussion of the pros and cons of each

runtime environment and how Laszlo Systems has bridged the two

with a single XML language and framework. WHEN: OSCON 2006 will be held from Monday, July 24, 2006 through Friday,

July 28, 2006 at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 N.E. Martin

Luther King Jr. Blvd., Portland, Ore. Wolff's presentation will take place on Wednesday, July 26, from

1:45 - 2:30 p.m. in room E141. Temkin's presentation will take place on Thursday, July 27,
