QuickVision 6 for Linux Will Address Customers' Broader Rangeof SOAand J2EE Portal Applications Needs

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- ClearApp, the only company offering Application Performance Management (APM) Automation(TM) for portal, J2EE and SOA applications, today announced that ClearApp's QuickVision 6.0 performance management solutions are now certified to manage applications running on Linux on IBM's System z mainframe platform. The announcement marks a continuation of ClearApp's platform enhancements to allow its best-of-breed automatic management solution to address a broader range of customer needs in the areas of SOA and J2EE portal applications.

QuickVision uses modeling to facilitate automatic deployment of managed applications -- making it one of the fastest and easiest application performance management solutions to install, configure and maintain. The solution manages J2EE, portal and integration applications running on BEA WebLogic(R), IBM WebSphere(R), Apache Tomcat, and Redhat JBoss platforms. QuickVision can also monitor individual services of SOA applications.

"We are pleased that ClearApp has chosen to certify its QuickVision 6.0 for Linux on IBM's System z mainframe platform," said Randy Daniel, director, System z Marketing Execution for IBM Systems & Technology Group. "Today, the mainframe is often at the center of a company's SOA strategy, with existing mainframe applications frequently having tens of years of business logic built into them. As these applications are critical to an organization's business, enabling them for SOA is increasingly a high priority."

"ClearApp's QuickVision has always been exceptional in managing the performance of complex J2EE portal and SOA application environments," said Chris Farrell, vice president of Marketing at ClearApp. "Now as customers deploy these complex applications on mainframe platforms, QuickVision's modeling approach will allow them to utilize the quick and automatic deployment of QuickVision application management as they would on their distributed systems."
