Linuxfest Northwest in Bellingham, WA with speakers from Red Hat, Google, Novell, OLPC, MySQL, Linden Labs and Buni.org is this weekend. Admission is free.

Linuxfest Northwest celebrates its 8th year. The conference regularly attracts between 700-1,200 people even in years with bad weather. With this year's lineup, large attendance is expected. Talks run the gambit from copyright law, open source groupware, network management to robots. In previous years published comments have been very positive ("We need more like this" ([HYPERLINK@www.linuxjournal.com]). This year is drawing a number of speakers from the east coast, Southwest as well as the more localized NW US/SW Canadian crowd. A brief look at the schedule reveals that even the casual attendee will find himself conflicted about which of the concurrent talks to pick ([HYPERLINK@blug.org]).
