The following document discusses the Oracle bbed tool. The name bbed is an acronym for Block Browser and EDitor and it is shipped with the database. It is intended for Oracle internal use only and the company never publishes any details about it.

It is a very powerful tool but also extremely dangerous since it can change and/or corrupt data blocks of any Oracle database. If you use this tool, you do so at your own risk. Any modifications made with this tool render the database unsupported by Oracle.
