A new Linux community is now available online: MailRadar, the email community.

MailRadar.com is a new Linux oriented community dedicated to sysadmins and IT professionals. Its main goal is to provide unique information and surveys about email messaging and mail servers. Additionally, it aims to offer its community members a range of free tools to help them determine the security level of the email servers they manage or to find out more on IPs and domains they are interested in.

MailRadar.com comes with relevant data on mail serve usage, security and distribution by country. You can use these unique statistics to find out how many such servers are blacklisted, how many allow open relaying and to investigate the security level of both your own mail server and those you interact with.

MailRadar.com also shares interesting articles, news and events with its members and encourages them all to contribute their own works and to comment on those already posted on the site.

The MailRadar project has been initiated and implemented by a team of seasoned messaging, development and IT security experts currently working at Gecad Techologies. The Gecad Technologies team develops the AXIGEN Mail Server, a messaging solution dedicated to most Linux and Unix operating systems. Therefore, the MailRadar community aims to offer a frequently updated overview of the email and messaging fields, with a special focus on Linux related activities.

Firstly focusing on its readers, MailRadar.com strives to become more and more interesting for Sysadmins and IT professionals. That is why any feedback you might have is genuinely appreciated.
